Groove F.A.Q.

Q: Why should I choose New England Groove Entertainment for my function with so many choices
out there?

A: There are a lot of choices for entertainment out there. The problem is that there a very few good choices.
A great DJ/MC should not just play music, but be involved all aspects of the planning and to insure that all of
your wants and needs are met during your big day. That way you can sit back and relax.
Your wedding or party is a unique treasure, and reserving the services of New England Groove
Entertainment will make your planning easy, and your reception or party a memory that you, your family, and
your friends will cherish forever.

Q: Will the DJ/MC I speak to (DJ Mark), be the one who performs at my event.

A: I am the Owner of New England Groove Entertainment. As a single system operator, I do not book multiple
events in one day. If you book with me, I am the one who will perform at your event, and the day is yours. I do
not book an event, and then subcontract my bookings out to anyone. DO NOT let your event be a training
session for someone with little or no experience.

Q: Will you meet with me before I make my entertainment decisions?

A: Yes. I would be happy to meet with you, and answer any questions you may have.
I would love to have you as a client, but it is more important for you to find the DJ/MC you feel is best for you.
Generally a face-to-face meeting helps you to make that determination and, for us to brainstorm on ideas on
how to make your day special and unique.
Then, if you feel like that we're the best option for you, we can go forward and start some serious planning.

Q: Can you provide me with references?

A: A recommendation from another person is a great way to find out if a DJ is right for your function. I will be
happy to supply you with a list of current references.
Be very wary of those that won’t (or can’t).

Q: Are you insured?

A: Yes, New England Groove is fully insured for liability.

Q: Do you use professional equipment?

A: I use such names such as Numark mixers and FBT Speakers. All of my music is stored on an Apple G4
Powerbook, in crystal clear MP3 format. My music is all from legitimate sources, and not illegal downloads, or
burnt CD’s. Uncle Sonny’s stereo or ipod may sound great in Uncle Sonny’s basement, but it may be barely
heard in a banquet hall of 300 people.

Q: Will DJ Mark host the event, and interact with your guests?

A: Yes. A good DJ should do more than just play music, and should be prepared to handle any
announcements and special events throughout your event. Whether you prefer mild or wild, you should be
able to decide exactly how interactive you want me to be.

Q: Will you be suitably dressed for the occasion?

A: I will dress however you would like, from a Hawaiian shirt to a tux. I generally wear a suit for outdoor, and
daytime weddings, and a tux for evening weddings, but it is up to you. There is no added fee for formal attire.

Q: Will you play my CD’s?

A: Honestly, there is no guarantee that your CD is in playable condition. If it skips, who gets blamed? Instead,
talk to me during our meetings, about the songs that you want. If I don’t have it, I will get it.

Q: Do you have backup equipment on hand?

A: Ahh, the Murphy’s Law Question. I have a whole entire second sound system available with me at all times.
If something goes wrong with my equipment, you would never know it.
